COVID-19 Coronavirus Policy and Updates
(As of 3/29/2020)
Effective immediately, Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation park hours are sunrise to sunset and certain areas within parks will be closed in the interest of public health.
Basketball, tennis, volleyball and sand volleyball courts as well as dog parks, ball fields, playgrounds, pavilions and skate areas are open only at certain times and under strict guidelines until further notice.
Trails and open areas in County parks are still available from sunrise to sunset, but visitors should practice social distancing.
If you have an upcoming reservation at a pavilion or other facility, staff will contact you for rescheduling or refunding options.
I would also like to take some time to shed some light on how we are approaching this in terms of Recreation. We will follow orders from Governor Kemp and Chairman Nash. We will also monitor closely what the school system is doing. At this point, we do not foresee opening fields before April 24th, which is how long the schools will be on digital learning per Governor’s Orders. I anticipate fields being closed beyond April 24th, if the situation continues on it current trend. As long as social distancing is in effect, we will have to continue to monitor and evaluate when it will be safe to permit park facilities. We will do everything we can to get you all back on the fields and playing again when we are given the all clear.

Our Facilities
The Greater Lilburn Athletic Association (GLAA), in partnership with Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, would like to invite you to visit Lions Club Park here in Lilburn. The park is currently at 50 acres but has room to expand even more. There are 5 baseball/softball fields, including a 180' field, a 200' field, two 225' fields and a 300' field. We also have a concession stand, a playground, picnic areas, a rentable pavillion and easy access onto a walking/jogging/biking path.
The walking/jogging/biking path at Lions Club Park connects to and makes up the southernmost end of the Camp Creek Greenway Trail, a 4.2 mile trail running from Killian Hill Road, through Lilburn City Park and ending at Lions Club Park.
